Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 17 September 2026
These terms and conditions (“terms”) cover ricochet.rs, cloud.ricochet.rs, self-hosted Ricochet licenses, and Ricochet Cloud, operated by RICOCHET, LLC (“us”, “we”, “our”). References to the “website” include both websites, and references to the “Ricochet product” include the self-hosted software and the managed Cloud service. Contact us at [email protected] or RICOCHET, LLC, 522 W Riverside Ave, Ste N, Spokane, WA 99201, United States.
Conditions of use
By using this website or the Ricochet product, you certify that you have read and reviewed this Agreement and that you agree to comply with its terms. If you do not want to be bound by the terms of this Agreement, you are advised to stop using the website and the Ricochet product accordingly. RICOCHET, LLC only grants use and access of this website, its products, and its services to those who have accepted its terms.
Privacy policy
Before you continue using our website, we advise you to read our privacy policy regarding our data collection practices.
Self-hosted license grant
A license for the Ricochet product is sold as an annual or monthly subscription. For as long as your subscription is active, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Ricochet product on your own infrastructure, subject to this Agreement.
If your subscription lapses or is not renewed, your license terminates and the Ricochet product will cease to function.
Ricochet Cloud
Ricochet Cloud provides managed hosting for R, Julia, and Python apps, APIs, documents, and scripts, with Ricochet licensing included for the hosted service. Your purchase provides the app capacity and shared compute pool you select, along with organization access controls, instance management, and usage reporting. The pricing page describes the available resources and rates. Your Cloud purchase does not grant a separate self-hosted license.
Cloud capacity is metered hourly and billed monthly in arrears. Charges follow selected capacity, including capacity reserved while workloads are idle, rather than only time spent executing code. Increases take effect immediately and decreases take effect at the next hour boundary, with a minimum billing period of one hour. Monthly estimates are illustrative, and the amount due depends on capacity reserved during each billable hour and applicable taxes and currency conversion. Cloud purchases use the published rates shown on the pricing page.
Where a free trial is offered, its expiry and resource limits are shown in the portal. Usage within that trial is not charged. Continued paid access requires billing to be set up, and workloads may stop when a trial ends without billing in place.
You retain ownership of the code, documents, datasets, and other content you upload. You authorize us to host and process that content to provide the service, and you are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to upload it. Do not use the service for unlawful activity or content that violates third-party rights.
You can manage cancellation through Billing → Manage billing or contact [email protected] for help, including when paying by invoice. The cancellation confirmation specifies when cancellation takes effect. Charges already incurred remain payable and may be invoiced after cancellation. When cancellation takes effect, workloads stop and retained instance data becomes eligible for deletion after the service’s retention period. Export content you need before cancellation, and contact us before cancelling if you need help with an export or retention details. See the Refund Policy for cancellation and refund information.
Intellectual property
Except for customer content, materials, products, and services provided by us are the property of RICOCHET, LLC or their respective rights holders. You agree that you will not reproduce, redistribute, or reverse engineer RICOCHET, LLC’s intellectual property except where permitted by the applicable license or law.
User accounts
To purchase or manage a license or Cloud service, you may be asked to register an account and provide certain information. You are responsible for keeping this information accurate, keeping your login credentials secure, and activity that occurs under your account. If you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account, please inform us so we can address it.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts and to cancel orders at our discretion.
Payment and refunds
You purchase self-hosted licenses and Ricochet Cloud services through Paddle.com, which acts as our Merchant of Record and authorized reseller. As the seller of record, Paddle handles payment collection, billing, and applicable sales taxes on our behalf.
Because Paddle is the seller of record, all refunds are handled by Paddle and are subject to Paddle’s terms and policies. We do not process refunds or issue payments directly. See our Refund Policy for details.
